Louisiana questions, answered.
Do you really serve all of Louisiana?
Yes — and beyond it. Leash & Teach is 100% virtual: every lesson is live 1:1 video with a professional educator, so a family in a rural parish gets exactly the same trainer as a family in Uptown New Orleans. Our local pages cover the communities we hear from most, but if you have an internet connection, you're in our service area.
Why virtual training instead of a local facility?
Because your dog's problems don't live at a facility. Jumping happens at your front door, leash-pulling happens on your street, and Louisiana adds its own curriculum — heat that rules out parking-lot classes for half the year, parade and game-day noise, hurricane-season readiness. Training at home, with you doing the handling, is what makes results stick.
How much does dog training cost in Louisiana?
Everyone starts with a free mini training session — a real lesson, not a sales call. Pet Dog Prep, our core obedience program for dogs 6 months and up, typically runs $650 to $2,100 depending on length (1 to 10 months). Puppy Preschool is custom-quoted after your free consultation, and PhD Pups is a flat $500.
Who are the trainers?
Former PK–12 educators who paired classroom teaching craft with dog training expertise. Teaching people is our first profession — which matters, because you'll be the one holding the leash. Meet the whole faculty on our About page.
