Students who made the doggy honor roll
RileyObedienceRileyRiley came to us with an affinity for squirrels! She would often run off in the yard chasing a squirrel or pull her gamily down on walks to catch her squirrel friends! We worked with her and her family on making sure she wanted to come back and listen to her family instead of the squirrels! She now comes everytime her family calls her! Way to go Riley!
GunnerReactiveGunnerWhen Gunner joined our class, he had an aversion to new people being in his line of site! He believed Stranger = Danger I must take charge! We taught dad how to communicate in appopriate situations that he has it under control and has Gunners back. Now Gunner can walk his neighborhood or allow a guest in the house with out yelling at them!
KodaService DogKodaKoda's handler is a teenager who was struggling to successfully attend school and socialize with friends due to her health conditions, and had just purchased a wild Australian Sheperd puppy! Mom worked very hard for 2 years, so that she could continue in school with her peers. The pair are now college, and we could not be more proud of them both!
ChampService DogChampChamp's handler came to us seeking a Medical Alert dog. Champ started out as a boisterous puppy, and now he can alert his handler of an oncoming seizure and retrieve rescue medicines, and then contact her emergency contact by pressing a special button!
Lucy’s Puppy Crew Obedience Lucy’s Puppy Crew This pack of pups mom came to us with the goal of walking her four very different dogs together. She said walking was a disaster, all the dogs would get twisted, pull various directions, or step on little Stella! Now these four trot in perfect harmony! Mom is overjoyed that she can take a walk in the park with her furry family members! Way to go crew!
PosieObedience PosiePosie came to us a wild child! Her family’s 6-year-old daughter wanted a calm playmate, but Posie preferred bouncing around the living room, barking, and jumping on guests. Now, Posie listens to her parents, respects house rules, and is her tiny human’s best friend—following her everywhere, playing gently, and obeying every command. We’re so proud of Posie!
Buddy - Pet DogReactiveBuddy - Pet DogBuddy was so unmanageable on a leash pulling every which way and barking at any animal he passed. Now, he can happily stroll his neighborhood without barking or pulling his owner down the street. Way to go Buddy!
GeorgeService DogGeorgeGeorge's handler had goals of taking their service dog on cruises and theme parks. George was a young dog with a hyper streak who needed to reign in his energy to be able to retrieve medicine and dropped items. George has now graduated and successfully been on a cruise and other outings while being able to assist his handler! Amazing job George!
